Beauty and the Beast

Un dia, Bella va eixir al bosc a buscar herbes, però es va fer fosc i començà a ploure.

She didn’t know the way. Rain, wind… trees all around. She was lost.

Corria sense saber cap a on, fins que va vore un castell gran i fosc enmig de la boira. Va tocar a la porta.

She just wanted to rest. Just one night. But…

—Who are you? What are you doing in my castle?

—Qui eres? Què fas ací?— va rugir la Bèstia.

Bella tremolava.

—No volia fer mal. Només refugi.

But the Beast didn’t listen. He growled. Loud. And locked her in a room.

Només buscava refugi.

—"Només buscava refugi"—va dir Bella des de dins de la cambra, però la Bèstia no escoltava. El seu cor estava tancat com la porta.

The next morning… The Beast looked at her again.

—Tu no eres una presonera qualsevol— li va dir—. Has tingut por, però no has cridat ni has corregut."

I la Bella el mirà, molt a poc a poc, sense por.

He felt... something. He didn't know what, but it was new. So he opened the door.

—Pots anar-te'n si vols— li va dir.

Però ella es quedà.

She stayed. Not because she had to. Because she wanted to know...

Què amagava aquell rostre tan estrany.

And that was the beginning of everything.
